Wow, I sure wish I still looked today like I did when this photo was taken. I was a Marine Drill Instructor at the time and chock full of "vim and vigor". But, as we all know, youth is wasted on the young. It leaves us much too quickly. Today, I'm a grandfather with a little less energy but a deep appreciation for living and life in general. I have three grown children and they all have children. My "tribe" is growing daily and I'm learning new things every day... Life does that to a person. I've learned to appreciate the many good things our God has given to me. I have learned much about the bad things that the world has offered me. The best thing I've learned is to distinguish between the two.
